Two Irises in Bloom

Zanna Smith

This mixed media painting of watercolor or water-soluble crayon with ink depicts a pair of irises in violet, magenta, and blue against a pale aqua ground, their petals outlined in dark ink and filled with mottled color. Green blades sweep upward around the stems, with small red and yellow blossoms scattered along the base.
