Q&A

Is it common in America to be kicked out of your parents' house once you are over 18?

Zanna Smith

“Kicked out” implies some kind of disagreement about what should happen. I doubt if there is a standard practice. For 2 of my 3 children, who were mature and able to take care of themselves, I encouraged them to live on their own at 18.
