Winged Figure Ascending

Zanna Smith

This watercolor painting depicts a reclining or rising figure with long golden hair and a pale wing, wrapped in flowing bands of rose, gold, green, and blue. The washes are wet and blended, letting the figure dissolve into the surrounding color rather than holding a firm outline.
