What does your meditation journey look like? How long did it take for you to master the art of it?
My meditations vary. Each depends on what is present for me as I begin. I think each of us “masters” meditation each time we set the intention. Meditation is a practice, not a course to be mastered. As children we are taught (unfortunately) to set limits and strive for perfection in meeting those limits. In meditation there are no limits or expectations.

I’ve been meditating and watching my thoughts for a while. I tried meditating without any focus on anything and experienced strange sensation in brain -like waves running throughout. Why? What this is?
Interesting brain, isn’t it? Just let things be without judging whether or not it is good, bad, enjoyable, worrisome. It’s like walking through an art gallery. At first you may make a judgment or have a reaction. A moment. Then the next moment you think, “That’s interesting,” and move on.

I use creating and performing arts, getting underneath the words or cognitive mind. For example, I have a visual journal. The practice is simple: I write down the date, and a very brief statement about what I’m trying to resolve, then I close my eyes for a few minutes in a non thinking state.

My friend is always confused about everything, so people initially always think he's a bit slow, but he is actually super smart. Why is he so confused when I talk to him if he's so smart?
Many possibilities exist for this. A very intelligent person may have Asperger’s, a high-functioning form of autism, and may not have developed the “normal” conversation behaviors and processing. There are many other neuropsychological possibilities, including lack of interest, or lack of ability to focus on external stimulus. Einstein was possibly one of these people.
